Only 1 submission is needed per student. The deadline for submitting an application is January 1st, 2025 at 9am. If your child is accepted, directions for enrollment will be emailed and will be available for pick up in the main office.
Philadelphia Academy Charter School complies with all State and Federal laws that govern admission policies and procedures. Philadelphia Academy Charter School does not discriminate against any student, employee, or other person on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. Admission criteria will not consider intellectual or athletic ability, aptitude, disability, race, creed, national origin, religion, or ancestry.
Enrollment Procedures 2025-256 SY
The school online enrollment link will be provided once a child is selected in the lottery.
In the event an online link cannot be completed, special arrangements can be made to assist the registration process by emailing admissions@
Upon acceptance parents/guardians will need to provide the following information while completing the packet in order to complete the process (Required):
- Pennsylvania Department of Education Charter School Student Enrollment Form (with name, address, emergency contact) [Required]
- Proof of Age [Required] – See below for examples:
- Child’s original birth certificate
- Notarized copy of the child’s birth certificate
- Child’s valid passport
- Original baptismal certificate indicating the child’s date of birth
- Copy of the record of baptism, notarized or duly certified and showing the date of birth
- Prior school records indicating the date of birth
- Copy of Immunization Records [Required]
- Please note: If a student has just started a series for each type of shot, she or he may be enrolled. The student must be in the process and keeping up with the timeline of the series (for example, the student just got shot one and he/she will get shot two within thirty days of shot one).
- Proof of Residency [Required] – See below for examples:
- Deed
- Valid Department of Transportation identification card
- Mortgage settlement sheet
- Current credit card bill
- Current utility bill (gas, electric, cable, telephone)
- Recent vehicle registration
- Recent property tax bill
- Voter registration card showing current address
- Valid driver’s license or change of address card with current address
- Recent bank statement with current address
- Home Language Survey [Required]
- Suspension Expulsion Statement [Required]
- A sworn statement attesting to whether the student has been or is suspended or expelled for offenses involving drugs, alcohol, weapons, infliction of injury or violence on school property must be provided for a student to be admitted to any school entity.
The following items will be requested but not required in order to complete the enrollment process:
- IEP/504 Plan if applicable
- Report Card/Standardized Test Results from prior school
- Record Release Form for Current School
